Some people have contacted me personally and have asked me some rather personal questions (eg. what was my real name, age, areas of study...etc.)
The reason why i have kept myself rather incognito online is because i am a privacy-freak. (and probably because i have heard way too many horror stories about internet weirdos and stalkers)
You all probably know me just as 'bittersweet05' or 'Charray' on GT.
However, i feel that i have now come to the point where i can share a bit of myself with you guys. Although none of us have met before, i feel like i have 'known' some of you for quite awhile now. And friends should be able to learn a bit more about each other.
Below is a little...you can say an autobiography, that i just quickly typed up. Honestly though, feel free to ignore this post (my life is a huge YAWN lol) but for those who were curious and would like to know a bit more about the face behind this blog (err... ONE of the faces behind this blog lol), then feel free to read on.
Oh, and don't ask why i typed this in third person (i just thought it sounded more professional. Yes, i'm a little odd xD)
Born to a super uncommon and odd name, Emmaline is now grown up and reaching her mid twenties although she is still a kid at heart. The name ‘Emmaline’ is unknown to mankind and she is ONLY referred to as ‘Emily’, ‘Emma’, ‘Em’ or
‘Emmy’ among a stray of other nicknames her friends and family have so
affectionately coined. (she would like to add that she thinks her parents
were drunk when they named her -__-) At least her middle name is somewhat
normal: Skye.
Born and raised in Toronto, the most multicultural (and possibly Asian) capital in North America, she now splits her time between Toronto and Kingston where she attends Queens University. She is now in her 4th year of undergraduate study with a double major in English and History. She plans to write the LSATs and try law school next year, taking in the footsteps of her father. She hopes to complete her legal studies at the University of Toronto.
Em or ‘bittersweet05’ first discovered Charray when she watched Yummy Yummy. (Although she is a CBC, she has a diehard love for TVB dramas and credits all her Chinese knowledge from them!) Next she was on a roll! After YY, she watched Lethal Weapons of Love and Passion and couldn’t believe the sizzling chemistry between her two favourite TVB stars. It was around that time that she discovered the amazing community of Asianfanatics and started contributing to the ever growing thread, meeting other great members such as Jupi, Helen, bling*bling – just to name a few!
Her resume includes having started a petition regarding Linda Chung being in Raymond’s musicvideo, loitering around Charray Youtube videos, writing random fanfictions (many have been abandoned shamefully), and of course, starting this blog dedicated to her favourite couple!
On her REAL resume, she doesn’t have much to fill (being a student still). She has worked the odd summer job from clothing stores (Abercrombie&Fitch) to busting tables at Milestone’s (what can you do when you were in high school? ;O). Thankfully she now has a better (part-time) job: a legal clerk at a law firm and in the future, plans to teach English abroad (thinking of Hong Kong or Korea as of now) between uni courses.
She loves to eat, chat, play with her cat, strum her long-forgotten guitar, and sing in the showers. She also loves meeting new people, traveling (thinking of backpacking through Australia this summer!!) and writing random stuff. Also, she’d love to hear from you! If you’re bored, have questions about studying law or even questions about her sanity, feel free to drop her a note at: charraylove@gmail.com
Cha Gheil! (you’ll have to be a Queen’s student to understand that! ;) Or just look
it up! =3)
