Hi all!
I think you all will wonder right now what kind of thing that can make me this happy right?
Actually this have nothing to do with CharRay or CharRay seperately but still I wanted to share my happiness with all of you here ^^
Those who have known me for long knows that I'm a BIG fans of Aaron Kwok so this post is actually about him =) He will have his world tour concert in Singapore Indorr Stadium in 30 May.
Here is the article about it ^^
Aaron might not have the best set of pipes among the four Heavenly Kings of Cantopop, but Aaron Kwok can be proud of having achieved something none of the other Kings have managed.
The 43-year-old veteran singer and his concert production team broke the Guinness World Record recently for setting up and performing on the world's largest indoor revolving stage.
In his 16 electrifying concerts - titled De Show Reel - held at the Hong Kong Coliseum and Asia Expo between the end of 2007 and early 2008, Aaron wowed fans by dancing on a 10m by 9.44m revolving platform.
The translucent, colourful platform is constructed in a boxed design, thick in width with many cubicles and partitions for Aaron and his crew of dancers to perform in.
It looks stunning from all angles, rotating both vertically and horizontally, elevating everyone on stage up to as high as 10 metres.
Now, that sure beats fellow Heavenly Kings Jacky Cheung, Andy Lau and Leon Lai hands down, when it comes to creating a live visual spectacle.
Showing off his official Guinness certificate to Hong Kong reporters recently, a beaming Aaron said entering the Guinness record books was 'a significant moment in his career' and would spur him on to 'continue making breakthroughs, challenging all these impossible things on stage'.
On 30 May, he will take his stage here, as part of his De Show Reel concert at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The concert will be one of Singapore's most elaborate in terms of stage design.
The stage and the set-up alone will take five days to construct - the longest for a one-day show, said Ms Denise Marsh, chief executive officer of the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Scorpio East Productions, the organiser of Aaron's concert, had to book the stadium for five days just to build and set up the stage, plus an additional day to dismantle it, she added.
Big, bulky props Ms Adeline Low, director of Scorpio East Productions, said that a usual gig would take two to three days to set up and dismantling it would usually be done overnight.
'In Aaron's case, most of the props are big, bulky, and have to be transported into the stadium through cargo containers.'
Cost wise, it is a hefty sum too.
The entire staging of the concert costs more than $1 million, said Ms Low.
Ms Marsh added: 'SIS (Singapore Indoor Stadium) has hosted big-scale events before, such as the Italian opera Aida, Notre Dame, a French musical, as well as the Hong Kong musical Snow Wolf Lake.
'However, none of these previous shows were one-day events, unlike Aaron's upcoming concert.'
It's also been nearly six months since Singapore has had a centre-stage concert, where audience fill seats on all sides of the stage.
The last artiste to do this here was Taiwanese powerhouse singer Ah Mei, during her Star Tour last October, said Ms Marsh.
A centre-stage format can seat up to 10,000, while the end-stage format (where audiences fill three sides of the stadium) can seat around 8,000.
Most regional stars, such as Jacky Cheung, Sandy Lam and Lee Hom, who held their solo concerts at the Singapore Indoor Stadium last year, chose the end-stage format, which is generally cheaper to set up.
Western artistes seldom use centre-stage configurations, said Ms Marsh.
One exception was The Police concert in February last year.
Factors that influence Western stars' preference for end-stage configurations include the use of video-wall displays or screens, she explained.
'Also, some concerts use low-level lighting or pyrotechnic backdrops that would obscure the rear or side view.'
Dubbed by the media as the 'King of Dance' and 'Asia's answer to Michael Jackson', Aaron has always wowed audiences with his dazzling choreography, artistry and sleek, acrobatic dance moves in his concerts.
Now in his 40s, he still appears no less energetic than he was 20 years ago, when he burst on to the music scene as a fresh-faced, suave teenager, crooning hits such as Loving You Forever.
