When Easterly Showers Fall on the Sunny West

Well, as you may or may not know yet, the series, "The Turbulence of East and West" (東關飄雨西關晴) has officially changed it's name to "When Easterly Showers Fall on the Sunny West."

The series will be airing from Oct 27-Dec 5, right after Raymond's series, "The Four", at the same time slot.

The cast includes: Charmaine Sheh, Liza Wang, Joe Ma, Selena Li, Samuel Kwok Feng, Raymond Wong, Kiki Sheung, Edwin Siu, Sharon Luk, and more...

"When Easterly Showers Fall on the Sunny West" will air as an anniversary series at the same time as another grand production series, "The Gem of Life." Although I know that a lot of you out there are hoping that CharRay will win respectively the Best Actress/Actor awards, I dare ask you guys to keep your hopes down. Despite being a HUGE Charmaine fan as well and being absolutely confident of her acting, I do not really think that Charmaine will win the award for the following reasons:

1. Despite having the amazing potential in acting, TVB is very unlikely to give out another best actress award to the same person, especially not when it's just 2 years apart. (I'm NOT claiming that TVB is rigged, however, TVB has ADMITTED in the past that even though it is up to the audience to vote for the award winners, the TVB executives have the final right to alter the decision.)
   
2. Charmaine (along with Kevin) has been complained by audience for snagging the spotlight in Forensic Heroes 2. (I guess not everyone find CharVin cute :( ! )
3. The negative rumors that have just sparked up about Kevin and Charmaine may have affected some people in their perspectives of these two artists (ARGH. Sometimes I just think that people who read these retarded tabloids really ought to rack up their intelligence. You can't believe everything the tabloid says, especially when 90% of them are made up. I mean, how can there possibly be exactly that many pages of entertainment gossip every single week? Something's gotta be made up!)
4. Charmaine only have 2 series airing this year. Forensic Heroes 2 will definitely not garner her the award (despite her VERY GOOD acting, IMO) because of reason #2. So, the only series left is "When Easterly Showers Fall on the Sunny West", and Charm's only chance to get the award is if the series receives exceptionally high ratings or exceptional praises for her role. Which IMO, is quite not going to happen (again, despite her absolute potential) since The Gem of Life is very big competition.

Well, I hope you guys are excited for "When Easterly Showers Fall on the Sunny West!" But at the same time, don't get over-hyped for Charmaine to win, (although i really do hope she does). I guess it's a still a little to early to judge yet, but based on the stuff that has happened so far, these are the conclusions and i have drawn to.

+ On a side note: I have changed all the tags of the original "The Turbulence of the East and West" to "When Easterly Showers Fall on the Sunny West."

Raymond Lam Will Concentrate mainly on his Music

Raymond Lam, Linda Chung, Bernice Liu and Edwin Siu were arranged to become "TVB Olympic Stars". During the event they sang the Olympic theme song (光輝的印記). All four of the stars had fan's supporting them at the event, but it seemed that Linda had less fans than the others. Linda states perhaps its due to not having time to see her fan's lately, but she rather her fan's use their time on study and doing their own personal things.

The four stars will be attending upcoming events that promote the Olympics. Raymond Lam and Linda Chung have recently had many rumours while filming series "Heart of Greed 2". The reporter teased Raymond by saying that he now has alot of opportunties to see Linda . Raymond replies "Yes, I will become sick of seeing her". He also states that when the series has finished filming, he will concentrate mainly on his music and will not film a series for awhile. Asked Raymond Whether he would sing a duet with Linda because she is going to become a singer? He replies by saying probably not. The theme song and sub song are sung by himself alone.

Denies Dating with Charmaine Sheh

When we asked about reports stating that Raymond and Charmaine Sheh were wearing matching couple watches, Raymond immediately said "Please don't misunderstand and accuse Charmaine for things not true. Watches are similar in every range and every brand." Charmaine was reported earlier about spending money on Ron Ng. (Asked Raymond who actually is dating Charmaine?) He says he doesn't know. (Would it be Ron Ng and Charmaine dating?) in order to avoid the question, Raymond replied by saying Ron and him were dating.

The reporters asked Linda what she thought about the reports stating Charmaine and Raymond wearing matching couple watches. Linda smiles and says "Really, Then I will be very happy for them". (Will you ask Raymond about it?) "I will not ask him because it's none of my business."
Bernice expressed that it was the first time she was arranged to become an "TVB Olympic Star". She states that her brother who is teaching in Beijing, has tickets to see the Olympics. She hopes to arrange a holiday period so that she can go to Beijing and watch the Olympics.

Edwin Siu who has just come back to TVB, is going to be heavily promoted. He states that he is very honoured and happy. He hopes to see the Olympic events live.

Yayy finally when we least expect it the reporters come out with Charray news. Even tho it's not much it made me jump out of my chair and dance around the room. hehe ^_^ Hope this news brightens your day like it did mine =]. Sorry i haven't been on for ages.. there was school with exams then workk goodness i didn't even have time to just sit on the couch and watch t.v. lol i watched FH II by having it uploaded on my computer over night when i was sleeping and watch half an episode sitting in the car in the morning and the other half at night.. (and i must say that the series is really good if you guys haven't seen it yet. well my friends i must go now.. mom is yelling her head off telling me to go eat lol.. hope to update soon!!
p.s. just realizedd that both charm and ray aren't going to be filming now since charm in done with TTOEAW and vacationing in Hawaii and Ray is done filming HOG II and is now working on his new alblum... (what a coincidence i must say lol)

Charmaine return to Hometown for Filming

TVB new series "The Turbulence Of East And West" led by Liza Wang, Charmaine Sheh, Joe Ma, Edwin Siu and Raymond Wong held blessing ceremony at filming studio yesterday. The cast prayed for a smooth filming. With the recent spread of flu disease, some of [HOG2 ] cast fell sick and they had to stop filming a day to disinfect the studio. When asked if she was afraid of the flu, Liza noted that everyone must be careful.
When asked how many days have Liza started filming, whether it's tiring and if she is worried of getting sick, she gave a big reaction after hearing the questions: "Choi (touch wood)! We have to be careful. If anyone feel unwell they should take leave. However, I have already taken a health check before starting work. I was surprised by the reporters because they rushed toward me as soon as I got off the car." They also asked if she have called Sir Run Run Shaw to ask about his condition, Liza expressed that she did not. She didn't contact Madam Fong, but she hope that there's nothing serious with Uncle Six (Sir Run's nickname) and he is healthy as always.
Charmaine enjoy working with Liza
Charmaine says that she like working with Liza, because she could always go back on time and sometimes even a few hours earlier. When asked if she knew about [HOG2] casts stopping filming and the studio have to be disinfected from flu, Charmaine expressed that she is not too worried and they did the same thing during the SARS period. She will be taking vitamin C and supplements to strengthen her immunity system. She excitedly disclosed that after finishing filming the parts in Hong Kong, they will be going to Zhongshan to film outdoor scenes. It turns out that Zhongshan is Charmaine's ancestor hometown. They will be filming there for 3 weeks and if she have free time, she will be visiting her relatives because she never went back before.
On the other hand, this is Edwin's first series after signing management contract with TVB. Previously he has been filming series in Beijing. He is given the opportunity to work with solid actress like Liza and Charmaine in his first series. When asked if he is used to the filming here, Edwin expressed that though it's his probation period, he feels okay because the cast and crews are kind. He’s also happy working with a group of good actors since he could learn from them. Additional excerpt from Takungpao:
Charmaine disclosed that she will have plenty of crying scenes in the series. However, she is happy working with Liza and Joe, especially Liza because she can go home on time and sometimes even a few hours earlier. I never knew that Charm's hometown is Zhongshan that's so cool. I went to a village that was like 1/2 an hour away from there last summer for a few days.
Hehe Bittersweet thanks for the welcome!! I love the pic! This is kinda funny because for my English class we have to create a Superhero with unique powers and weaknesses. I'm still trying to figure out the storyline and stuff. I hope i can update more but I've been busy with studying for my tests like crazy but good thing is after tomorrow Spring break starts!!!
